Annual Missions Conference

 

We welcome you to be a part of Light Your World 2017, our 56th successive World Missions conference. As we celebrate 56 years of God’s abundant favor, let’s receive fresh fire and anointing for the coming world harvest. 

God has graced us with a powerful team of anointed speakers and worship leaders who hear from the Father and minister in submission, directed by the Holy Spirit. Believe together with us for souls healed, hearts transformed, minds renewed, and bodies rested. Arrive ready to be changed. Leave equipped to bring transformation!

All services are held at Destiny Church in San Antonio, Texas. Ministry is given free of charge. There are no admission fees. We hope to see you there!

During Light Your World 2017, we'll also be celebrating the 75th anniversary of Destiny Church. Started in 1941 by Leonard W. Coote, for the past 75 years, Destiny Church has been a great commission church, sending missionaries across the world and reaching into the community across the street. Taking the glorious good news about Jesus to the world has always been the core of who we are and what we do.

We invite you to join us in celebration of this historic landmark as we thank God for what He's done in the past, while pressing forward with fresh vision to reach mean more souls in God's great harvest field.

 
 
 

2017 GUEST MINISTRY

 

MIKE WARE

In 1982, after returning from a missions outreach to Mexico, Mike was stirred to follow a deeper calling in ministry. In 1983, he joined the staff of Bethany World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge, LA, as an Associate Pastor and served in various roles and responsibilities of ministry. In the summer of 1986, Mike, Jeanne and their two children, Matt and Rebekah, moved to the Denver Metro area to plant Victory Church. Today, Victory Church is a large, vibrant and influential church.

 

Matt Ware

Matt Ware grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and has a Bachelor of Theology at Vision Christian Bible College and Seminary. Pastor Matt became the Senior Pastor of Victory Church in March 2014. Recently, Victory celebrated its 30th church anniversary and continues to grow and expand its influence locally and globally. Pastor Matt is passionate about leading the local church to fulfill its mission of taking the gospel all over the world. 

 

MARCOS WITT

Pastor and CCM musician Marcos Witt (born Jonathan Mark Witt) grew up in San Antonio, TX, and studied classical music at the University of Juarez in Durango, Mexico. Marcos travels the world ministering to thousands through music, preaching the gospel and encouraging Christian leaders.

 

Mike Herron

Mike Herron has traveled to over 70 nations in a worldwide ministry of worship, preaching and teaching the Word of God, moving in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, ministering to leaders and encouraging unity among believers. He is a pianist and composer with seven recordings as well as the author of four books. He is a founding board member of John 17; a movement that promotes unity between Protestant, Catholic and all believers in Christ.

Sam Walker

Sam Walker is the pastor of Church on the Rock North in Beaumont, TX. Sam is also the President of Agua Resources whose sole purpose is to bring fresh water to the needy people of Mexico. Agua Resources has drilled over 200 wells and is providing free fresh water access to approximately 100,000 Mexican people.

 

VIRGIL AMUNDSON

Supporting many missions ambassadors and missions fronts, Virgil is a faithful pastor, mentor and Christian leader. His church, Shell Lake Full Gospel Church in Shell Lake, Wisconsin, has a thriving missions vision with significant heritage and expanding influence. Virgil brings a passionate and challenging word for the advancement of the Kingdom.
